It's all changed now since I was out there and is sliced up in the teams: engagement team (generate appts), process team (build packets), future Soldier Manager. My recommendation is: be honest because your name will be circulating through shopping malls, high schools, local businesses, employment offices, etc.. Your name is your credibility and you represent the Army, remember that!

Don't mess with high school girls, as a matter of fact, I was borderline rude to them so they wouldn't/couldn't think I was flirting. Set up fun events to draw big crowds to get the Army story out there, it was fun and a bit of a stress reliever. Leave your business cards everywhere: ASVAB study guide books in the library and Barnes & Noble, 6pack beer cartons in liquor stores and supermarkets, leave business cards next to the urinals/sinks in bars/restaurants/nightclubs. Again, be honest and know your product and know what the other branches have to offer so you can better suite your applicant! Once they enlist, treat them as a Soldier!

Oh and I would call branch prior to submitting your packets because there isn't a HUGE difference with one of nine choices and it's easier and quicker than all the paperwork (that's what I did and I got my first choice). DA Select have to fill out the same sheet within the first couple days of school. 9 times out of 10 you will be in one of your areas you choose (this is based on my experience and others that I know). Good luck!!
MSG Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 06 Dec 2013 11:40:30 -0500 2013-12-06T11:40:30-05:00 Response by CPT Aaron Kletzing made Dec 6 at 2013 3:58 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-is-it-been-a-recruiter?n=16542&urlhash=16542

SGT Hunter, great question. Your best resource may be to also go to the RallyPoint page for US Army Recruiting Command (I put the link below) and connect with the people who are in slots there right now. We have 631 total service members from USAREC right now in our network. They're all at your fingertips, brother! Let me know if you have any other questions.

https://www.rallypoint.com/units/4977-usarec-us-army-recruiting-command-fort-knox-ky

US Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) | RallyPoint

Join members of US Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) on RallyPoint. But, like SSG M stated, honesty is your best friend, anything you try to BS them about they can research it on the net and if you get busted, you will lose all integrity in the area you are working in. And yes, leave the girls alone, they will throw themselves at you because of the uniform, avoid like the plague unless you are dealing with high prospects and even then have battle buddies for protection.
