How is it on and off post at Suwon AB?

Going to Suwon fairly soon, just wondering how it is on and off post. And maybe more importantly, what to look out for and what not to do?

Just make sure you have a pass before going out overnight. Suwon is fun. Never ending amount of things to do.

Its awesome. right off post is the train station and AK plaze. Hwaseong Fortress is pretty dope too. plenty to do and eat.

It is what you make of it. It is a very small post, so if you're looking for "the land of the big PX" that's not it. Conversely, if you actually want to experience Korea it's probably better. The base is right in the middle of an actual city and next to the train station (unlike Humphreys) so you'll be able to experience more of "real Korea" and not just "the ville". It's also nice walking around town and not seeing Soldiers everywhere you go. Korea also go rid of the curfew last year so that's nice too.

It's great! Never been there myself, but great!. I was at Camp Casey, lots of road marches. Lots of Pro, never done it though. I was handsome enough and skilled enough to get some girlfriends. When I was there, locked down was the norm (1995). :P

Go to Suwon city. Take the train. Its a short trip. It's awesome
