the USS Kearsarge is patrolling the Atlantic. granted, she is not a carrier, but an amphibious assault ship. i would think that would cause some second thoughts were a group to try to come from the east.

We have six carriers in dry dock or otherwise being repaired/tested. The 14 Billion dollar Ford has two weapons elevators that work. If China or Russia decided to take us on right now we would be in trouble.
