I am curious how the army severance pay breaks down if I have been in all components in my career. According to my ERB and LES my entry based date is from 2010. I am wondering if they will go back to then or from the time that I entered active duty. This is for a medical Evaluation Board.

It goes off your Active Duty time. Your BASD should have been adjusted when you re entered active duty, giving you credit for any prior active time you served.

Yeah it's like 2017 I think but that doesn't seem right

SPC(P) (Join to see) then you’ll need to go to your Career Counselor to get it fixed

They will do a computation of service which will calculate your total AD time which is a combination of reserve, AD, NG service. I don’t remember the formula they use but it won’t be your BASD.

I was med separated in 2001 with a total of 9 years AD time both guard and AD and got 2 years base pay as my severance, I don’t know if is still the same.
