Horrible, don't do it. On post housing is managed by the Villages of Benning (VOB). Check their reviews on Facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/pg/villages.benning/reviews/?ref=page_internal and on Google Reviews. I personally recommend Fort Mitchell. I lived both on post and in Fort Mitchell. You could get a 3,000+ sq/ft house in Fort Mitchell for LESS than what you would pay on post for maybe 1,000 sq/ft. Be sure to check out https://www.militarybyowner.com/homes/ga/fort-benning.aspx for homes. Other sites like Zillow and rent.com are also useful. Uptown Columbus is also nice, as long as you stay at or above exit 10 on 185. Good luck!

SFC Palmer, what will you be doing at Benning? I live in Patton Village. As a Drill Sergeant, I find the convenience of living on post completely worth while. The homes are nice too. If you're going to be stationed here doing something else though, I would recommend living off post. My biggest complaint is that my entire BAH is taken for a house that is nice, but I wouldn't say it's worth the cost. You could find much better accommodations off post for that price and save some money. The 5 minute drive to Sand Hill is what keeps me happy with living on post.
