Majority had no real issues. SGT David A. I was good at doing services and enjoyed fhwm. Unexpected maintenance sucks at times but it all has ita rewards. Sadly I found some units look down on support MOS. As a junior enlisted solider its ok. Just expect long ass hours and for 88M to run to run for every damn thing SPC Private RallyPoint Member Wed, 25 Oct 2017 17:29:24 -0400 2017-10-25T17:29:24-04:00 Response by SGT Jason Murphy made Nov 1 at 2017 2:59 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-is-the-life-as-a-91b-likes-dislikes-deployments-etc?n=3054181&urlhash=3054181 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Pretty much depends on where you go like other posters have stated. My favorite unit as a 91B (63B back in 2001-03) was in the 1-506th Infantry. The worst was a signal unit, later in my career. On a good note, you’ll have skills that will get you a decent civilian job when you ETS. Just be proactive in getting ASEs, the more the better, before you ETS, and you’ll have a resume that stacks up if not exceeds other candidates. I deployed with a tanker company mixed with 91B, 91D, cav scouts, and snipers. We were all glorified truck drivers. I spent allot of my down time in the shop wrenching on almost anything you will find in country, mainly because I deployed 8 months out of basic and AIT. I loved it but than again in I&#39;ve been wrenching as long as long as I can remember, runs in the family. I love being a mechanic so being a mechanic in the army for me at least is pretty awesome! I&#39;m on my third deployment and all three I have been the lone mechanic so its really cool because I run the show maintenance wise. My only real knock on the life could be said about any mos, I butt heads with my current leadership so I&#39;m working to get my points and get my time so I can get my 6 and stop taking crap from them haha but over all being a mechanic is a great but pretty dirty job if you do it right haha.
