I was active duty until 12/31/02 (1 Year, 112 days), had 40 days ADT, and am on a mob where I anticipate 394 days active including terminal leave. That is 2 years, 181 days. Do I need 183 days for 6 months, or is it in 30 day increments? How is the Post 9-11 GI Bill benefit percentage calculated?2017-04-14T10:51:24-04:00CDR Private RallyPoint Member2493893

An aggregate period of active duty after September 10, 2001 of at least 24 months < 30 months gets an 80% benefit; 30 months <36 months gets 90%. An extra 10% that I can transfer to my kids at the cost of a few extra days before getting cut loose is a no-brainer; however, I don't want to delay getting home if not needed.Response by CDR Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 14 at 2017 11:02 AM2017-04-14T11:02:23-04:002017-04-14T11:02:23-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member2495774

Best I can do to help:

https://www.vets.gov/gi-bill-comparison-tool
http://www.benefits.va.gov/gibill/comparison_tool.asp
http://www.benefits.va.gov/gibill/comparison_tool/about_this_tool.asp#cumulativeservice
https://jtspratley.com/blog/five-extremes-with-the-post-911-gi-bill
