Currently I am a 68E (Dental Spec) but have my BS and MS in Information Technology. If you have a strong background in IT and obtain certifications such as Security+, Network+, A+ ect then you may have a chance. While getting your degree, realize that the industry is changing rapidly and if you rely on the degree alone, you&#39;ll fall behind. Places like UDEMY (cheapest) or pluralsite (less cheap) can help with online courses with prep-classes for certifications while future proofing the changing industry. Sure it&#39;s &quot;resume experience&quot; but nothing is absolute. My MOS was Combat Intelligence Analyst. My field is unrelated.<br />If you look at former Infantry, they progress into &quot;Operations&quot; which is a catchall, and often management.<br />So all that said, build the resume you need for the job you want.
