If you search these forums you will see that the Air Force has been telling active duty army people that they can sign a 368 and be released to the Air Force. That's simply not true. The only way to be released from active duty early to be separated under the provisions of a r 635 - 200. The easiest way to switch to the AF is to wait for your enlistment to end and then see a AF recruiter. If they have soldiers to sore in your mos then it will get pushed up. However, if your specialist is a critical needed position. Then will become much more difficult to get released. The way it works from my understanding is as follow, your unit commander has to sign off on it. Then it goes up to Bn, several other steps prior to getting to battalion. It will take a while. Also, several factors come into consideration. Time in service, time at your unit, etc.. SFC(P) Jonathan P. Wed, 03 Oct 2018 17:22:59 -0400 2018-10-03T17:22:59-04:00 2018-10-02T19:14:55-04:00
