How likely is it to go from enlisted to officer (FA 40) with a degree in Space Studies (Aerospace science concentration) from AMU?
Is it possible to do direct commission using this degree?

It is impossible. FA40 is a functional area. For most functional areas you must be branch qualified and captain career course complete.

The school is accredited. There shouldn’t be any issue at all.

The question is if your OCS packet is competitive or not. As long as the school and program are properly accredited your degree should be ok

Yes it is possible but I suggest that you try and get pinned SPC before you drop your packet so you get the echo identifier and pay bump that goes with it. Unless I’m mistaken the echo identifier is only available for e-4 and above. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Forty is a long shot for any career field to get commissioned and I doubt it would happen with this. You would probably do better looking for a contract job that pays way more.

Any regionally accredited school will meet the bachelor degree requirement to allow you to apply to OCS
