How long are Ranger deployments?

I recently enlisted as an infantryman with a Ranger contract, and I was wondering about how long Rangers' deployments typically are. It doesn't matter to me, I'm just curious.

Hopefully you are getting yourself physically fit in order to enjoy Basic Training, Airborne School, RASP, and beyond. Yes "Enjoy". This could be the coolest job for you or the very worst, depending on what you want out of the military. My best advice, when at Basic Training, do more PT on your own when ever you have a few moments of sitting around and waiting. When you get to Airborne School, start really running a heck of a lot, run long and fast, at least five miles each day under 30 minutes. Follow the fundamentals of fitness to rest certain muscle groups. But get at it hard. Come day 1 of RASP, it's "ON" full speed, your either prepared or you'll get left behind. Infantry Basic Training PT is not enough. Airborne PT quite frankly could use a boost. But it will always be up to you to keep yourself physically fit to a higher standard. You are smart enough to be there, or you would not have landed a Ranger Contract. Make the most of your Army experience and enjoy the training as much as one can. Pay attention and be a sponge, you will learn everyday of your career. Good Luck, let us know how it went. We just need to know you passed. A agree wiht CPT Toby Forbes, worry about what's right in fromt of you. OSUT, RTAC, and Ranger School, long before you worry about a deployment. But typically, 6-9 month rotations

Deployments are usually mission dependent. While, learning and preparing for the possible future is a great idea the military and Internet have many open lines to find it. As the Maj below has posted several links. A few months, they're on rotation with the other ranger bats, my deployments were a little over 100 days, still beats the hell outa the normal army deployments

You have an option 40 I'm assuming. Deployments are typically 100 days for regiment which is much shorter than the big army

Really...Have you went through Basic/AIT yet!? Make it through Sand Hill and Earn your Blue Cord 1st. Then ABN School, Then it gets Fun in RASP..and there's Still More. Ranger Contracts may be handed out, But You Earn that Slot. With that Said, Drink Water, Drive On and Get Ready For Hell! Make it through and Deployments become Vacations

The deployments are as long as the orders state them to be. Just like any other unit that deploys.

You better want it more than anything in your life. You will have a long hard trip getting there to the Regiment. You won't know anything until you are deployed. How long? You will be told when you are told.
