I have completed the 70B Direct Commission process and signed my DA71 and contract about a month ago. I am still waiting for the HRC orders. Does anyone have an idea of how long it normally takes to get orders back from HRC?

Timeframes can vary depending on current workload of HRC, priority of RFOs, your AOC etc. When I signed my contract for Reserves in 2017, I got orders 3 months later. When I signed a contract for active duty in Feb 2019, I got my orders one month later - good luck

LTC Charles T Dalbec I've seen a couple of them back at my bolc class.

They were prior service to active. Usually 70B in compo 1 are academy, rotc, and ocs officers.

2LT (Join to see) depends on your unit.
I signed my da 71 and I had my orders in for my unit about a month and a week later.

My unit called me first before my orders arrived.

Reserve is where more 70B positions are located. By joining the USAR, it is so much easier to specialize.. Plenty 70B positions, I have been a PAD officer for the majority of my career. It is a position that keeps you busy tracking patients when traveling around the hospital. Deployments obviously the patients also travel to the rear for further care, testing, surgeries, covalence, etc.
Did not mean to waste your time as I left AD to attain my degrees. But the process is very interested. You have been chosen to be in the best branch in the Army system.

SGT L J,
Mine took about two months after the paperwork in 1998. I was commissioned in the Staff Specialist Branch (Chaplain Corps) ARNG. Good luck on your process. Blessings.
