SFC Private RallyPoint Member 1238360 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So, I was called last month by the CA who made the decision to bring me onto the program at USAREC. He told me that I would be receiving a call either at the end of last month or beginning of this month from HRC to get an official offer. I called him a couple of weeks ago to update him on something and he confirmed that I am still on the list from HRC. How long does this typically take? I know that like many of the things there&#39;s the &quot;hurry up and wait&quot; saying but I just want to get an idea of how long everyone else had to wait or even if they received a phone call like I did? How long do you have to wait to find out if you are selected for an Army Reserve AGR slot, and how are you notified? 2016-01-15T16:32:54-05:00 SFC Private RallyPoint Member 1238360 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So, I was called last month by the CA who made the decision to bring me onto the program at USAREC. I've been waiting forever Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 15 at 2016 5:26 PM 2016-01-15T17:26:17-05:00 2016-01-15T17:26:17-05:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 1238716 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You will receive a “Congratulatory Email” notification from a technician extending an offer to access into the AGR Program. You will have 48 hours to respond to the offer; additionally, your "My Record Portal" status will be updated to "Selected for AGR Assignment". The accession process normally takes between 30-45 days as this allows time for publication of the assignment order and completion of long distance in-processing. A technician is assigned to walk each Soldier through the entire accession process. It is definitely a difficult code to crack to get into the AGR program! <br />Keep in mind the last two weeks of December and first week of January are typically the least productive weeks during the entire year. Everyone is either on leave going on or coming back from leave. The offices both Soldier and civilian are typically ghost towns! Slots available, MOS, PCS timeframe, etc... When I was selected for AGR and put on the OML it took me a little over 3 months to get my orders. What I suggest you do is call the person at HRC several times a week. Remember the saying "The squeaky wheel gets oiled." To go AGR I had to change branches. I switch from Signal to Finance which was ok with me because Finance was my second choice and Signal had been my first. If you are willing to switch MOSs HRC might be able to find you a position faster. I am scheduled to get a DA photo but still waiting for and assignment.
