PO3 James Vise 3691522 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I did 5 years as active duty Navy, currently an active reservist. I am trying to go active duty Marines and was wondering if anyone here has ever done this before? How long does it take for a conditional release form to be approved/disapproved and who has the final authority to do so? 2018-06-07T06:30:26-04:00 PO3 James Vise 3691522 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I did 5 years as active duty Navy, currently an active reservist. Mine all went quick because it was done at the local level. I am not sure who has release authorization going from Reserve back to Active Duty. But to help the situation along, I would be on the phone constantly with whoever is approving it. Don’t wait for someone else to do their job. No one cares as much about your career as you do. Took 5 and a half months to get it back. It is signed by the first general officer in the chain so it can be a while. Mine was 6 months.
