How long does it take to get AMEDD orders after commissioning?

I commissioned in the AMEDD Nurse Corps March 03, 2024. Since then I have not heard anything. When I reached my recruiter he told me I will keep you posted. hang tight for now." no other information was given.

AMEDD Orders? Are you referring to orders to attend BOLC?

To be clear on the point you are at- When you said "I commissioned in the AMEDD", did you mean you have seen the results from the AMEDD direct commissioning board where you were selected or are you stating that you have seen/been told your commissioning scroll has been signed?

The reason I ask is it determines how long of a waiting game you have.

It can take months between when the board approves your DC packet and when your commissioning is approved by leadership (average probably is about six weeks though). After your scoll comes back, then it's back in the hands of the recruiter to finish your process and get you assigned to a unit.

For those USAR Soldiers that aren't projected for a unit assignment already, HRC may handle scheduling you for the three week Direct Commission Course* and phase II of BOLC (you do phase I online .. once you get a CAC) as you would be in the IRR 'pending assignment'.

However, most will be assigned to a unit first ('which unit' is dealers choice unless you've been working with a unit already and they have a slot for you) and then get scheduled by them for DCC/BOLC phase II.

It took over a year between the time I commisioned and recieved orders for BOLC. You have to wait until there is a seat availabl.
You are welcome and encouraged to start attending battle assembly with your unit (as a reservist, there are no orders - you are already in the unit). This will provide you some memtorship and give you an idea of what to expect when you complete BOLC.
