How long does it take to transfer records from the Army to the Air force? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-long-does-it-take-to-transfer-records-from-the-army-to-the-air-force <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hello, i have a question. In 2016 i planned on joining the army. I have taken the practice test, and filled out a bunch of paper work. Eventually i choose to attend college for the next couple of years because i thought i would score low on the asvab on the AR &amp; MK part. I wanted to improve my knowledge on that end. I moved to Pittsburgh from Baltimore to attend school, and in 2019 i finally took the picat and tested very high! AFQT score 88 . I was very excited, and disappointed that i took that long to take it. My recruiter scheduled me to test at meps for the conformation test, but since i was previously on record for the army back in 2016, i have to wait for my records to transfer to Pittsburgh for the air force. I was wondering if anyone knew how long it would take to transfer? Hopefully not as long. I just want to get the meps process over with! Get with your recruiter for a better time frame. Your recruiter will initiate a form 20 which requests your record from your previous meps. At that point, it is completely on the other meps as to how long it takes to transfer the record since it has to be mailed. Your recruiter or Station Commander should get a daily update on the status. At lease we do in the Army anyway. Hope this helps. It took over 18 months to get my records transferred from the ARNG to the reserves. And it still took me calling in a favor from my former BN XO who happened to be deputy MILPO for the state at the time. That&#39;s honestly the best I can give you as to how it really works, so far as we&#39;ve seen it, if you wanna yak more, no rush, whenever you want, just lemme know, hope that&#39;s of at least some use, OK? <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="https://vetrecs.archives.gov/VeteranRequest/home.html">NARA | e-Vetrecs .</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description"></p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> Capt Daniel Goodman Tue, 09 Jul 2019 16:38:33 -0400 2019-07-09T16:38:33-04:00 Response by Capt Daniel Goodman made Jul 9 at 2019 4:41 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-long-does-it-take-to-transfer-records-from-the-army-to-the-air-force?n=4795143&urlhash=4795143 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>And explain about why you want them, it&#39;s not necessarily gonna make your whole thing move any faster, just be sure to be explicit as to why you want the old Army stuff, and, also, if you know, exactly where it&#39;s gotta go, who to, explain where your recruiters are and/or were, explain what recruiting districts you were in for Army and/or USAF, as well, those oughta be able to be found, I should think, without terribly much difficulty, I&#39;d expect, I just figured I&#39;d add that for sake of clarity, OK?
