I would like to know how long the process takes for the transfer to be finalized after submitting the DA4651 through my current unit? How long does it take to transfer units in the USAR? 2021-01-03T19:44:34-05:00 1LT Private RallyPoint Member 6629770

Hello all,

I am in the USAR, and I am currently transferring from my MI Detachment to a CA BN. I've seen the requests signed, approved and orders cut within 3 days (this actually happened with me). I've seen others take a month (also me). I had to pull teeth to transfer from RFX BDE Advisor to a non - deploying 1SG slot. And that was only after tidying up my section and gift wrapping out on a nice green bow for my new CO (Who was previously my section chief). There was some discussions WITH Senior NCOs and Sergeants Major before the final sign off at MACOM. Pushing hard, I got it done in 5 weeks. But it needs to get in the hands of RPAC. My actual first transfer got denied because TAG said due to army needs I needed to stay in my current unit and that I wasn't qualified to fill a amedd slot. But now this is my second rodeo so I am really hoping it works.
