Anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. If everyone is on the ball, it could go pretty fast, but it only takes one step, any step in the process to slow it down. For example, if the last signature required is from an official who just singed out on 45 days of leave, and no one left in charge has the authority or willingness to sign, 45 more days have been added. There are any number of senairios that can hold it up. Just be patient. I checked in with my command almost every other week. After the release I was back on active duty in two weeks or so. 3 months into my 3rd MOS school and about to graduate in a month and head to The Great Place! It takes longer for Officers I think because each BN CDR has to explain why we are loosing each officer. For Enlisted, it's probably a 2-3 month turn around. Just keep checking with your unit.
