How long does it usually take to do an MOS transfer? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-long-does-it-usually-take-to-do-an-mos-transfer <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I&#39;m joining the Army from the Marine Corps and I&#39;m trying to do the same job as a cook in the army and they&#39;re doing paperwork to see if my job translates to army cook, which it should because we did our training at the same base and sometimes even together. I&#39;ve been through everything else at Meps this is the only thing I&#39;m waiting on. My MEPS ia at Ft lee in Virginia, but so was the MOS training and AIT training for food service. It&#39;s been a week and it seems a bit ridiculous that it should take this long to say it does translate. He was also civilian at China Lake and he had to transfer to the East Coast. He could not join the Marine Corps Reserve as an E7 he could join as an E-1 or E2. I also know Marine who was a corporal and he completed his basic noncommissioned officers course. He went to the Army Reserve as a specialist and a mean he was promoted to Sergeant. The United States Army will accept your credentials. LTC Private RallyPoint Member Wed, 08 Aug 2018 12:26:54 -0400 2018-08-08T12:26:54-04:00 Response by SGT David A. I have a battle that transferred and it happened to him.
