I know this first hand because I tried the same thing once upon a time ago and was rejected because I was not on the PPRL based on the STEP program. I&#39;m not sure exactly how long it is good for, though. What I do know is that there was this SSG in my last unit that was selected, completed Phase 1 SLC, dropped from the PPRL after 2 years because she didn&#39;t complete Phase 2 (her MOS has extremely limited seats) and had to be re-boarded. She is attending Phase 2 this summer and did not have to redo Phase 1. So, based on her situation, I would say SLC Phase 1 is good for at least two years.
