I have already talked to recruiters, and already have plans to sign. I guess basically from the point I sign how long until I go to MEPS and take the ASVAB?
Note: I know I would do BMT in the summer, but I am inquiring about the time before that? How long is the process from recruiting to ASVAB to MEPS, and what all does it entail? 2018-04-08T15:03:19-04:00 Joseph Scafidi 3524676

Hi RallyPoint community, I am turning 17 in a few months and am looking at the Air National Guard. If all goes well, and your recruiter is actually doing his job, you can be gone in as little as two weeks. Mine moved a bit slower because I was still in college and had to wait until I graduated to go to basic. But the process to go to MEPS and what not was fast. Be prepared though it’s a LONG day at MEPS doing all sorts of fun things. I had free time the recruiter really need to sign someone by the 31st and I had only been off Active Duty about a month. Coming in “off the street” unless there’s something wrong in your background check it should be a short process from test to physical. Pro tip: bring a book, a power bank for your phone and do NOT fall asleep during MEPS day. You will learn that day about hurry up and wait. Your morning will start at 5AM (or earlier) and end by 5PM. You will spend 10 hours sitting in a chair waiting your turn. Response by SPC William Weedman made Feb 2 at 2019 12:20 PM 2019-02-02T12:20:01-05:00 2019-02-02T12:20:01-05:00 2018-04-08T15:03:19-04:00
