I am wanting to switch to active duty and wanted to know if anyone knew about how long the process was and all that. I have a few other questions too but I was going to at least start with that one. Thanks. How long is the process to switch from National Guard to active duty? 2018-08-18T23:25:54-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 3891625 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hey guys. Once you have eatablished that you mee basic eligibility requirements IAW current USAREC business rules, the Recruiter should have you fill out paperwork etc. (get ready to go back through MEPS) and provide a 368 (Conditional Release) that you will take to your unit to send up the chain to the state TAG. Once that is signed, you have cleared medical, security etc and chosen a job (if necessary) at MEPS it will not take that long... do not hold me to that as I am not a Recruiter, go see an Active Duty Recruiter (79R) to get all of your questions answered and thank you for your service and good luck with continuing service..
