How long will it take for me to be medically discharged?

My P.A. And Orthopaedics doctors have informed me that my knee is unrepairable do to severe arthritis and an insane amount of scar tissue damage. How long will it take before I am separated from the army?

Once you have been referred and entered into the Ides system, it should be about two months.

SGT (Join to see) I don't have an answer for the discharge question, but I did want to offer my sympathies for the knee issues. My knee was so bad that I had it replaced this past December (I'm in my mid 40s). Hang in there and good luck.
