I was reading that household goods can be store at the origin location for 90 days and as well at destination. Is this an accurate information? I just want to know how many days prior to report date can the movers schedule pickup. Thank you in advance for any information I can get.

Your local transportation office can explain what will work in your particular situation. 90 days at either location is the standard but there are lots of exceptions to policy, especially when you're at an unusual assignment or have training in conjunction with PCS. I can't imagine why anyone would want to be without their household goods for more than 90 days though.

Gisleidy Lemes it varies by different course. I would expect him to get it a month prior to finishing.

Yes, you have up to 90 days of storage before delivery of household goods. Regarding how soon, as soon as you get your PCS orders you can go to your installation transportation office and coordinate your household goods!

One year ago, I had to move for a new job from Chicago to Denver, and I was trying to figure out the best timing for movers to pick up my household goods. I ended up getting help from movers at https://threemovers.com/things-to-consider-before-you-move/, and they were quite flexible with the schedule. In my situation, they could come and pick up my stuff roughly two weeks before my report date in Denver. They also mentioned that storage options at both the origin in Chicago and the destination in Denver were available, aligning with what you've heard about the possibility of 90 days storage. This flexibility was incredibly useful as it allowed me some time to get settled in Denver before all my items arrived.
