Well I am currently on leave and will lose 7 days this year. Previously usually 1 day

Yes, 30 days. I started terminal leave (for retirement) with 90 days of leave on the books. Six months later the AF took 30 days of pay from me. Stating that on 1 October they had wiped 30 days off the books, despite numerous prior assurances from finance, that this wouldn't happen because I started terminal leave before the end of the Fiscal Year. On the phone I was told I could fight it if I was willing to take off from work and fly or drive back to the base I retired from, which was in a different state. Hey, at least I got the days off!

LTC Private RallyPoint Member - I never really kept count, but I know that I lost at least two weeks' leave every year that did not involve a PCS. Probably over 300 days lost.

I think my dad probably holds the record. He once told me that he had taken less than 120 days leave in 42 years of active duty. That's 1200 days or 3.29 years of lost leave. Crazy...

PCS's to Keesler AFB for Tech school, took 30 days leave in conjunction to set up house, move furniture, etc. Showed up for 1st day at tech school to be told it moved to Goodfellow. Was told that "We didn't require you to take leave to set up household" so it was gone for good...along with deposit on house, utilities, etc. Learned a very important lesson that day.

I have lost a grand total of 1 day, ever. This was due to bad math on my part. Was sitting at 114, had to burn it back down to 75 and some of it had not processed through the system yet and my math was off calculating it myself.

I never lost any. I actually got paid for 18 days of unused leave when I got out. There just really wasn't much of anywhere that I wanted to go that I couldn't go without taking leave.

Over my entire career....ZERO days lost. I'm also having to take 1 day of leave each week over the last month. I REFUSE to lose any leave to the man...lol.
