How many feel like Rally point overestimates how many 1% SMs there are on the platform?

A small group of us is just more active than the others. I'm sure if more SM's used their accounts we would see a huge difference

I think that most RP accounts are fairly inactive. Most people probably create an account to look at a topic they find interesting (as advertised on Army Times or Facebook). However, they very rarely post, vote, or comment. If you participate on RP, you will definitely be a top 1% user.

In the E4 grade, there're over 78,000 of us on RP. Therefore, if you're ahead of 780 people in the E4 grade, you're in the top 1%. I'm #26 out of I want to say 78,070 E4s.

Just a thought...if one is still in the service, and your COC lingers on RP, they see what you post. Who wants to risk a career over a stupid post, so it is safer not to. There are retired and ETSed veterans hear who can say what they want without repercussion. I challenged a member's position on some components of the service are less professional than others. His reply was reply was poorly worded, grammatically incorrect and had too many spelling errors to count. While I could have said so to him, what was the point? Additionally, many of the discussions are kind of silly.

Thought I'd jump in here if that's alright. It's really interesting to look at engagement numbers. We actually have quite a bit more than 9,000 people participating in our discussions every month. There are a few numbers we look at: Total accounts created, total logged in members, and monthly returning users. What's really interesting to see is the number of folks who come back every month, log in, and read a discussion. We're well over 100,000 in that department. On top of it we have about 600,000 folks returning (logged in and not logged in) to read our discussions every month. I'm not sure we can expect a huge percentage of members to post discussions and comment/respond, given the nature of our space. But just wanted you all to know that the reach we have at RallyPoint is really incredible - because of the niche discussions you've all created.

We've actually had over 1,000,000 unique people reading our discussions each month for a few months now. There's also a pretty high likelihood that if you search (google, yahoo, bing) for a niche military topic, we'll have a discussion on it or answer right up top. We're getting a few hundred thousand folks to the site that way every month too.

We couldn't be more grateful for those of you who take the time to post and discuss every month. We're reaching an incredible amount of folks, and creating a truly unique virtual environment for service members and veterans. Thank you all!

Better question: how many feel that RallyPoint has grossly undervalued the exceedingly vast, overwhelming majority of participants on this platform who are former members or retirees of all ranks and titles who are indiscriminately lumped into the same mass of nearly 400,000 personnel while Serving Members (SM) are broken out into highly beneficial and infinitely smaller groups by rank? How many think the system should be changed to groups, regardless of status, based upon rank, and rank alone?
