How many 'Inauguration Balls' are sponsored/paid for by departments of the U.S. government? AKA, taxpayers?

CSM Charles Hayden - I have no idea who picks up the tab. I have invitations for Commander in Chief's Ball, Dardanella's Great Gatsby Ball, and Washingtonian Ball -- logistics are a little complicated - putting together 1920's outfit suitable for both the Gatsby Party and the Black Tie events was a bit of a puzzle - but I shall manage. I expect the organizers have raised some portion of the costs from private donors; but how do you put a price on renting National Gallery & Smithsonian landmarks? Warmest Regards, Sandy :)

CSM Charles Hayden - I am going to CinC Ball with a dear old friend - who just wants to share a few dances together. I have to visit politicians and lobbiests and take some dinner at the Washingtonian Ball. My girlfriends and I are then retreating to the Great Gatsby Ball - where the people are a bit less stuffy, the gowns are exquisite, the music is extraordinary, the dancing is better, and conversation flows more easily. The President has been invited to all three balls - may only show for the CinC Ball - but he would have a much better time at the Great Gatsby Ball. All we have to do is change gowns and add a boa and tiara for the Great Gatsby Ball. Warmest Regards, Sandy :)
