My brother has done an excellent job teaching them to shoot, and firearms safety. Went to visit one time and they asked if I wanted to go shooting with them. Sure sounds like fun. Then they asked if I wanted to wager a quarter for every hit at about 50 yds. I said sure. I'll go easy on them and let them win. It was a ambush. I walked right into it. After a 5.00 loss I bought the ice cream. She was given her first rifle at age 8, a .22cal Cricket. By 9 she was good enough with the weapon and overall safety that I would allow her to shoot her .22 on her 25m range by herself. In 2 years I will start working on pistols with her. Shes not going off to college until shes deadly. It will probably save me some prison time overall.
