How many of you refuse to fly on September 11th?
I just realized that I will be flying on the anniversary of 9/11 headed back to Illinois! My wife just came up and said, "Do you realize that we are flying all day on the anniversary of 9/11". I said back to her, "We can't be afraid to fly on that day anymore and if there was an issue we are together!"
How about you RP Members what do you say about flying on September 11th?
Do you have any bad omens about it?

I'm not worried about flying anywhere tomorrow. I'm not flying, but if I was I wouldn't have thought about it being 9/11. I can't control my destiny, so why be concerned?

The last time I flew on 9/11 was 9/11/2010. I had just completed 10 weeks of Combat Skills Training at Ft. Polk, LA and had boarded the aircraft for Afghanistan. We boarded early in the morning (check in time was 0530 or so), and I was on the airplane for the rest of the day. Arrived in theater 12 or 13 Sept 10 I think.....

Your timeline of flying sounds familiar to when I deployed to Afghanistan. Between time zones and flight time, a total of two days was needed. Completing the travel voucher to and from the 'Stan was just as fun, ha-ha.
