Check the State Department web page for information about foreign countries. HI and AK may have few or no restrictions on interstate shipment of animals. Check the State’s department of health or department of agriculture. HI may be picky about some snakes, birds, and reptiles. AK not so much. I know the UK used to quarantine pet dogs for up to a year before they could live with their owner. The Government won’t pay for pet transportation.

As many as you want, but the Army will only pay for one, and Housing may have limits to how many you can have, so check ahead.

Hawaii is OCONUS, but not really. You have to pay for your pets to PCS here and it gets expensive real fast.

Different units, toes of housing and theater of operation. All depends. You should be able to go to the Garrison Web site of where you are heading to determine how many and what type. pit Bulls, some terrifies etc are actually illegal to have I. Some countries. So don’t just check anount, check type. You may also want to verify if they will have to be quarantined for a period.

SGT Robert Cupp If there is some constraint, it's in the assignment instructions, breeds or numbers. Here is what they won't tell you. You get quarters based on your family size. Not that a solider brings 5 bull mastiffs. I saw families get saddled with out of pocket costs because they couldn't live what they were provided and had to do the whole ETP thing to live in the economy....then move further and further away to find a landlord that was ok with it.

SM is responsible for transport cost and vet prep. Quarantine may Be required. Reach out to the Garrison HQ for your intended location to get specifics.

As many as you can afford. Spots for pets on AMC flights are limited so you may be paying out of pocket to fly your animals on a civilian flight
