I've noticed we've got a lot of Harley and Motorcycle riding veterans, retirees, and active duty personnel here on RallyPoint.

What are your thoughts about putting together a rally and ride somewhere centrally located in the USA, so we could all meet up during the month of August 2016 or September 2016 for 5 to 6 days of riding, etc. Send your thoughts, a location, and a picture of your bike

Well, the fates were against us in 2017, however, I am with COL Mikel Burroughs in trying to get something going somewhere. We are working on "Ride 22" for next year, but really want to get a central gathering going whether you ride or just wish you did. Let's start working up the logistics and go from there. As the Colnel and I both ride Road Glides, we could lean on our fellow "Shark Nation" riders for some ideas.

Rallypoint Members that have responded so far. I'm going to wait until I get as many responses as possible and then I will post on this same discussion some locations and possible dates for a ride and rally (most likely the August timeframe) because it's warmer and kids are still out of school (in some places); and the 75th Strugis Anniversary is over. Stay tune!

My bike is at Garwood Customs right now...this is what she looked like a week ago (left pic)......in five weeks she's going to look VERY close to the second bike. Won't be able to ride that far. Meeting up still sounds nice though.

SsH Warren Swann- You are so right. He was put on lithium, which drove him nuts and he was told by the psychiatrist they had drugs to try and would find something that would work. So Wrong, it hurt. He tried the Army, way to soon, wanted MP but got an INF slot. I was retired, stayed out of it, except to advise him he needed more time, but he was fired up. Six weeks later, home on the bus with a TDP. He persevered, went to FL met his wife working store security at Beal's, got married in four months on Christmas Day in AL. Ten years later doing OK, with two boys. His wife has an EL. School library and teaches. She is USAF brat. Lovely mother, her mom lives only two plus hrs away in Niceville FL.

MAJ (Join to see) - Hate it when that happens! I was cruising the autobahn between Wurtzburg and Nuremberg around 140 MPH in my 1973 Porsche 914/6 sometime around 1985...got passed like I was standing still by a couple of Kawasaki Ninjas. Gotta love the autobahn. ;-)
