I am the new National Sector Chief for the Defense Industry Base (DIB). <br /> <br />I am recruiting qualified people into InfraGard and for some positions with the DIB as SMEs. InfraGard is free to join. Each of the 85 InfraGard Members Alliances/chapters are paired with an FBI Field Office and is represented by both a private sector IMA President and an FBI Special Agent Coordinator. <br /> <br />The FBI’s InfraGard Members Alliance is an information sharing and analysis effort combining the knowledge base, and serving the interests of a wide range of private sector partners who own, operate, and hold key positions within some 85 percent of the nation’s critical infrastructure. With thousands of members nationally, InfraGard’s subject matter experts include business executives, entrepreneurs, military and government officials, computer professionals, academia, and state and local law enforcement; each dedicated to advancing national security. <br /> <br />While the FBI gains an improved understanding of the threatscape and a rich source of intelligence provided by the InfraGard organization, members are extended access to a host of information and assets that enable them to play a key role in securing infrastructure. In addition, members who utilize program benefits are better equipped to protect their investments by identifying, prioritizing and mitigating vulnerabilities, developing incident response plans, and enacting the most current security best practices. <br /> <br /> <br />INFRAGARD MEMBERSHIP is for the owners, operators, and security directors and their staffs of the 16 U.S. national key asset and critical infrastructure sectors, which includes members of local, state, and federal law enforcement, as well as individuals who are involved in the security of and protected research at educational institutions.
