I know the messages were posted in the log, yet the new for years after said they weren't there. Finally in Nov 2014, Stars & Stripes finally came out saying the government covered it up and yes they were there.Response by SGM Mikel Dawson made Mar 18 at 2015 10:58 PM2015-03-18T22:58:44-04:002015-03-18T22:58:44-04:00MSgt Stephen Council874562

Not a topic for discussion in such a public forum...Just my opinion.Response by MSgt Stephen Council made Aug 8 at 2015 12:01 PM2015-08-08T12:01:26-04:002015-08-08T12:01:26-04:00PO3 Donald Murphy2008123

In order to be a weapon of mass destruction you have to have some pretty large qualifications:

1. Kill a lot of people in one instant.
2. Be an offensive or defensive deterrent.
3. Be portable/mobile.

So lets see... Iraq has no heavy artillery of mention (unless Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, lied about its destruction), no air power of mention (unless Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, lied about its destruction) and no naval power of mention (unless Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, lied about its destruction). So how would they "use" a chemical artillery shell against us? Roll it down a hill? Back pack it in? Put it in the back of a Toyota pick up truck? Sorry kids. But you need all three to be a WMD. So having read daddy's war reports, what should Dubya and Cheney have done?

Now to be fair to history, Iraq **DID** use the chem arty shells that **WE** ('Merica) gave them. And they worked. And they killed a lot of Iranians. We stop cheering normally when BBC footage of dead Iraqi's come on TV but hey... But back then Iraq had a working army, airforce and navy. Not so after Desert Storm, right? At least thats what CNN said with Air Force pilots gleefully backslapping and high fiving each other after shooting down another squadron of Migs. Or Army/Marines playfully jumping on knocked out Iraqi tanks. So why anyone (republican or democrat) believed any of the propoganda is beyond me...

Experience level: Nuclear Missile Submarine SailorResponse by PO3 Donald Murphy made Oct 24 at 2016 12:36 PM2016-10-24T12:36:12-04:002016-10-24T12:36:12-04:00Cpl Mark A. I spoke to a 1stSgt that was pulled back into active duty right before the ground war. He told me we call the Iraqi Generals and let them know if they uise the MMD they control, they will be in front of the UN for war crimes. That and we ask them how their wifes and children are doing?
I wonder if the former Iragi Sunni Generals know where a lot of ammo and C4 is and it is how ISIS keeps getting reloaded? Didn't they use Mosques to store ammo and C4 in 2004?
Great question MAJ.Response by Cpl Mark A. More to the point, I have my doubts about how much anybody knows, aside from some Iraqis perhaps. People trying to make sense of lots and lots of information in a short period of time are likely to miss things and make mistakes.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 12 at 2018 9:48 PM2018-12-12T21:48:49-05:002018-12-12T21:48:49-05:00SGT Donald Croswhite4203797

This has always pissed me off. Did Saddam not gas the Kurds with WMD? So we knew he had them. Did he prove to the UN that any didn't have anymore? Did he show documentation that he disposed of them? So to say he didn't have WMD is just ignorant and insulting.Response by SGT Donald Croswhite made Dec 12 at 2018 9:59 PM2018-12-12T21:59:16-05:002018-12-12T21:59:16-05:00MSG Roy Cheever5726186

100’s of 120mm artillery nerve agent rounds ARE WMDResponse by MSG Roy Cheever made Apr 1 at 2020 12:29 AM2020-04-01T00:29:27-04:002020-04-01T00:29:27-04:002015-02-16T12:58:52-05:00
