June '94, taking the CGC Resolute from Astoria, OR to Baltimore via Panama Canal. We had it set up to make a quick dash down to the equator in the Pacific, cross it, then make the dash to Panama. We got within 3 degrees latitude (180 nautical miles) of the equator and received a Search and Rescue call 200 nm. Game over, no time to return to original mission, no Shellback Ceremony, all ahead full to Baltimore.Response by PO1 John Johnson made Mar 4 at 2022 6:44 AM2022-03-04T06:44:00-05:002022-03-04T06:44:00-05:00SSgt Tony Lamson7728306<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Shellback(1992), Golden Shellback(1992), and Bluenose (1984)Response by SSgt Tony Lamson made Jun 15 at 2022 8:46 AM2022-06-15T08:46:29-04:002022-06-15T08:46:29-04:002014-06-04T03:24:28-04:00
