How many times have you changed your RallyPoint profile picture?

A few topics talk about Rally Point profile pictures. So how many times have you changed yours? If you did when and why did you change it? If you kept the same one since being a member why? If you never posted a picture why not?

I have changed mine only twice. When I first joined I posted the only decent picture I had. Later on since I was still on active duty, I added my DA Photo. After I retired, I changed it to reflect my status as a civilian with the current picture that is up. I may change it again but it'll be quite a while.

None yet, but I'm still rather new around here. I may change it to my wedding picture at some point. It's the best pic I've taken in a while and my beautiful wife takes some of the scrutiny off me, so that helps. I used my current pic because it's the only pic I have of me in my uniform. My mother still has the official boot pic, but not digitally and she lives in Florida.

Posted once since having a picture is important to a professional profile. Never updated the photo because never needed to. Kind of a measure twice and cut once type of thing.

LTC Private RallyPoint Member I have a few times. I hate getting my picture taken, but feel the only good pictures of me are either in my service uniform or my fire fighting gear. I change the profile picture up when I get sick of looking at the one that I have up. I figure if I get sick of looking at it, everyone else does too.

I am still fairly new to RallyPoint (started in January or February I think, can't really remember) but my profile picture is my most current official picture I have. Now I have thought a few times of changing it to a more personal one but I have been on the fence for this decision. Mainly because as an active Service Member, everything I post I am constantly mindful that I may have junior members (regardless of branch) watching the example I set. Because of this I feel it is best to maintain a more professional yet personable approach while keeping true to myself at the end of the day. I carry myself here the same way I do in person at my duty station.

Twice if I remember correctly... Actually might have been once. I can't remember. I'm pretty sure it was once but I'm having a mommy forgetting mode because my daughter is having issues staying asleep. I can't remember which photos I've used so far. Thinking about it a little more it more than likely was twice.

LTC Private RallyPoint Member Three or four times for no reason. I think it's perfectly natural to change your profile picture. A change can have to do with many different things: life events, a new look, boredom, creativity, status update...

The one you see is a webcam shot here at my desk and is the original. No reason to change it, my Drivers License photo looks the same, my Concealed Carry Permit looks like it, if I took a photo with help from my wife on my Canon Rebel it would look like this so.... :-)

I think two or three times...I've got the "professional" one, and the "Betcha didn't see this one coming" photo currently shown.

There's lots of reasons "not" to post a photo (OPSEC, avoiding attn, etc), and lots of good ones too (Networking, adding face to name, etc.). I think it's wise for AD members to keep it "professional", since COC might be reading in...and for everyone to consider the "image" we want to project before posting one.
