DITY moves allow for 1 day per 800 miles of travel. The distance between authorized points is calculated using the DTOD. A vehicle rented or leased at personal expense by a Service member or civilian employee for transportation on PCS or TDY when such rental vehicle has not been authorized or approved is also a POV. This definition applies equally to official TDY or PCS travel.</p>
