I know the Army and Marines, I recognize the others but couldn't sing them... well, to be honest, I can't sing, period.

I know the USA, USMC, USN, and USAF songs. I get the privilege of signing them at least once a year, in a joint unit. I never learned the USCG's, even when I was in, and have met of them that don't know it either.

How many know to stand up when their service's song is being played?

I know the Army song and know that we don't actually sing the full song. We also did trade in the last stanza for the first stanza.

I only know the Marine hym but I can Humm the others. Most Marines probably can they just don't know it. Because for all of our ceremonies like change og command and post and relief, the band plays all of them back to back during the pass in review. Those are the songs we March to, but I bet most of the Corps doesn't know that.

I'm clearly over a decade in, and am still unsure why I have the Marine Corps intro seared into my brain, but cannot memorize the newest revision of the Army song.
