How much do you really value the opinions of celebrities?

Honestly celebrities are just normal human beings with more time in the media than us. Their opinions are similar to most of us, however not all. I wouldn't change my own personal opinion on a topic just because a celebrity thinks that way. However with the right information to back up their arguments I may venture that way but it would be a very rare case with a lot of research done.

Depends on the celebrity and topic. The Mythbusters, Neil Degrasse Tyson, Bill Nye, etc... all are celebrities, but if they are discussing a topic that I know falls within their bailiwick, I'm going to value their thoughts and statements because I know that they have decades of study, research and experimentation behind those words...

Even though Bill Nye has already came out to say that the science of gender is fluid? You respect that "scientific" opinion?

You're confusing gender and sex. Sex is biological. "Gender" is a social term which refers to generally accepted social norms and expectations predominantly based off of an individuals sex. The terms are often used interchangeably, hence the big ballyhoo nowadays, but they actually aren't synonyms. Kind of like when the average person says they have a theory, they actually mean they have a hypothesis.
