I know it’s passing but far from great in my opinion, would it be beneficial to retake test later to get % up or will that affect my career at all? I’m enlisting as 11b and want to make my SF dream a reality after some time in and a deployment under my belt. Wasn’t sure if a higher score would help my chances of OCS in the future m if I go that route or if I’m good to go and shouldn’t stress over it anymore!? Thanks in advance and appreciate all the insight from last question, it definitely helped me to make decision to slow down instead of jumping in a rep63 contract and possibly ending up injured! How much does my ASVAB affect my career? 2019-02-22T00:02:27-05:00 Private RallyPoint Member 4389713

Just got my results back and scored 64 with a GT of 113! You're not able to pick between the two. For 11B, SF and any officer opportunities a GT of 110 will work just fine. There are no extra points for exceeding the prerequisites. Usually above 100 is good, above 107 is set.
Just because you are coming in as an 11B doesn't mean you will deploy, and even if you deploy it doesn't mean you'll see combat. You can attempt to enlist directly for SF, ask for an 18X slot, you go to infantry school anyway and then just straight to airborne, a prep course, and selection, as long as you're 20 or older you should be eligible.
