None. Your base pay is what you make other than BAH and BAS.

BAH and BAS often make the largest additional pay. If you live off base, you can calculate BAH here: http://www.defensetravel.dod.mil/site/bahCalc.cfm

Since you are new to the Army, the most important thing you can do is learn how to read your LES (Leave and Earning Statement). I remember the first class I had on it... it was very confusing, but it's something important to understand.

I also recommend just asking an instructor in your school to explain the LES to you. Get a print out of yours and have it in hand and walk through it. Everybody has to learn sometime. You may even have a class on it scheduled during your AIT.

Some people include the BAH and any other incidentals in their final pay analysis. Don't do this honest mistake. Just take your net income and work off that. It makes it a lot more reasonable and predictable. Including the BAH and other monies only inflates the entire package and people have some misconception that they have to go out and make this in order to survive. Nope; downsize and it will make a world of difference!
