SPC Private RallyPoint Member7223231<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My unit is trying to send me on mission with a mission leave date AFTER my 180 days from date of separation, let alone the return date being after. I did attempt to start the TAP process the full 18 months out, but the nature of my mos is that we don’t have access to computers or cell phones for the full duration of missions, and I just got back, and am now being sent again so using the virtual center while on mission is impossible. This means I won’t get my ETS Orders on time, and I need a solution. What regulations can I cite on the allotted time requirement to convince my command team to give me a solution? How much time must a soldier be given for SFL-TAP?2021-08-28T05:57:55-04:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member7223231<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My unit is trying to send me on mission with a mission leave date AFTER my 180 days from date of separation, let alone the return date being after. There's a mission and they need you, find out what you need to get done, push RFIs to your first line, and get this info up your chain of command so they can support you around the mission. You're not out, until you're out.Response by 1LT Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 28 at 2021 6:08 AM2021-08-28T06:08:44-04:002021-08-28T06:08:44-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member7223260<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>There is actually a regulation for TAP. There are only a handful of classes the Commander is required to make time for, but they are required to make time for the classesResponse by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 28 at 2021 6:17 AM2021-08-28T06:17:17-04:002021-08-28T06:17:17-04:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member7223295<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Getting your orders normally has nothing to do with TAP. You need to submit your transition packet to transition center. It usually consists of your 4/1, 4/2, 4/3, dd93, SGLV, ERB, and a working copy of your transition leave form. Your post may have additional requirements. You will not need to be TAP complete until it is time to clear. Ive had people complete TAP in 3 days so it is possible.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 28 at 2021 6:34 AM2021-08-28T06:34:08-04:002021-08-28T06:34:08-04:00SGM Jeff Mccloud7223826<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The classes take five days.<br />The Capstone is a day no less than 90 days prior to your final out.<br />It sounds like you are doing SFL-TAP online, if you are wondering what the regulation is, you can find it under the Resources tab.Response by SGM Jeff Mccloud made Aug 28 at 2021 10:22 AM2021-08-28T10:22:34-04:002021-08-28T10:22:34-04:002021-08-28T05:57:55-04:00
