How patriotic are you?

Do your FB post have a military-esque slant?
Do you wear your Army PT shots to the gym with your Under Armor shirt?
Do you have bumper stickers on your car that display like your uniform?
Do you have a military coin collection? Do you wear tee-shirt that are military themed?
Do you buy your children cammo?

Are you always looking for way to subdue bright colored things? Do you know every veteran in your neighborhood and hold monthly meetings? Does your eye twitch when you read a liberal bumper sticker like COEXIST? Did your wife delete you from FB because you are too military? Have you lost friends because of your strong views that all terrorists need to die ? Do you use your military rank with civilians....if you answered YES to any of these, you rate. You can reply to this forum. Carry On...the world needs people like you.

I have Arizona veteran license plates on my SUV and Harley Davidson and I have the word Veteran on my AZ drier's license.

I also have a ball cap that says "Dysfunctional Veteran Leave Me Alone" and another one that says "US Navy Retired" on them.

Does this count?

Some of my FB stuff is indeed military-slanted, especially when I am looking to annoy some of the wannabees there in North Texas. I have no knowledge of "PT shots", but then again I don't go to the gym (cuts down on unnecessary 911 MCU rolls). Back window of automobile has RVN service ribbon sticker flanked by rank and 1st Signal Brigade insignia. Have a bunch of coins, but compared to my Late Roman Bronze stuff, it doesn't even slightly qualify as a collection. Have a few T-shirts with mil themes, but they are rather tattered and delicate these days.

My kid (now 43) wasn't all that interested in cammo.

Skipping the bottom bits due to a zero hit rate.

Nothing I wear (not including my uniform), have I placed on the exterior of my automobiles, or my homes and even my social websites suggest I am patriotic or a member of the Armed Forces. I like keeping a low profile; I like blending in with regular folks or the folks who might have a problem with seeing the colors but not partaking in her freedoms. In my heart, I am patriotic.

I have two stickers on my car one is NRA the other is my Senior Enlisted Wings. If you walk into my house you will not miss the military aviation photos and prints that adorn the walls of our living room. It is rare for me to be seen outside my house without one of my many military hats on (Usually my Iraq/Afghanistan Veteran one).

Quite frankly, the answer to this question should be "who cares?" This is like asking who has the biggest package. It doesn't matter. Everyone on this site serves/d - we all contribute/d to national security.

Let's define terms: Patriotism - attachment to one's homeland.

In that sense, I am very patriotic.

How do I exhibit my patriotism?

I served voluntarily and happily and look back on that service with great pride.

I defend my country and its stature as the highest expression of human society in all of history. Care to argue the point? Let's...

I lament the reversals my nation has suffered as people have voluntarily surrendered their liberty in exchange for some illusion of safety under a paternal government, and fight to recapture the spirit of American Revolution and get us back on the right track.

Wherein my nation is in the right, I support it, and in the wrong, I do what I can to help correct it.

I take pride in the symbols of my nation above all others and demonstrate that pride and respect at every opportunity.

I vote intelligently at every opportunity.

I thank God everyday that I am an American.

I like flying the American flag on holidays on my front porch; I have a US Army sticker on my truck, and I still like wearing my pt shorts, even though I can’t afford a gym membership.
