It’s funny...I got to chose a couple spots to go after my re-class...I chose Hawaii, Fort Hood, and hunter army airfield in Georgia..they pick Alaska! Haha fuck me!

Hawaii & Alaska have something in common... everything is imported from somewhere else & it’s all expensive.

CPL (Join to see) - I chose Hawaii too on my "dream sheet". I was stationed at Ft. Stewart, GA with the 92nd Eng. BN. There is so much to do up there. Winters are a tad chilly though.

I was there 6 years and loved it. Lots of outdoor activities, no state taxes and you get COLA.

In aviation you should actually be able to get more time to properly enjoy Alaska. Definitely take the chance to get out and explore, don’t stay locked up all winter.
