How secure is our relationship with Guam?

Simple question. Maybe not so simple an answer. How secure is our nation's relationship with Guam? Will it ever become a state? Will it ever want out of the U.S. relationship? Will we willingly let it go? It seems to be increasing in strategic importance.

I'm not sure about that. It is definitely somewhere we should stay and keep close to us but it is a rather small island. And I wouldn't blame them if they didn't want to be a part of the states.

Had orders to the sub tender here before they got changed to the USS Enterprise. The Enterprise was more exciting but dang I would have loved the Scuba Diving in Guam. It will stay US. They dont want out and we need it.

I would say extremely secure. Their economy and employment relies very heavily on US defense and other department presence. It is a strategic asset for the US for many reasons. We wouldn't give it up and they don't want us to.
