Since you're a junior NCO, part of your sorting it out involves taking a look at yourself to make sure you did the drill correctly. Some juniors need to be told up front what's expected, i.e. see me before your blast out of here. Some senior NCOs will say all people of your crew should know that without asking. I'll just say every group has a few rocks that need to be brought along, hence need a bit more direction and reinforcement of your expectations. You want to make sure you're doing the drill right so the problem stays with the junior and doesn't shift to you. If it turns out you have a problem child, your SEL should have made all NCOs aware of how the Command wants to deal with them.

That said, you appear to be on the front end of it so it starts out with a confirmation of expectations drill that you document. If the problem persists, or others come up, make sure you're tapping your NCO upline a bit to ensure you're on the right track. Good mentors expect you to use them. CAPT Kevin B. In Part II, just put "Event-Oriented." Describe in Part III the event that took place with as much detail as possible, but keeping it short and to the point. Make sure you include times, places such as building numbers, etc. Counseling don't have to be difficult or long and drawn out. As for the labels, leave it up to legal. If you decide to on corrective training make sure directly correlates to correct the deficiency or infraction and set a follow up date. Plan of action must have an end date, "until further notice" is unacceptable. How can you assess if the corrective training corrected the deficiency/infraction?
