1. You start the minute it becomes apparent. 2. Depends on whether or not they are senior to you. One on one Talks, talk to the senior NCO's, elevate to higher. Bunker down .

On 10July I had extra duty watch, which doesn’t end till 2200.I was told that night I had to come up with a class for training and brief it by Wednesday afternoon.I called the Master Driver to find out if I could give an overview with slides of Forklift training to include some hands-on and PMCS.I got with other SGT’s to setup different Lift Demonstrations, and made a sign sheet. I wanted to ensure everything was together before I briefed the PSG.I then briefed my PSG on the class and was told that is not what She wanted and required another class by COB this was at 1600.I was given no guidance on what the class should be or what the expectations were.I put together with the help of other SGT’s what we thought was needed for low density training as 92A.When I as questions about any task or mission given I get no guidance.I was told I was going to the range with 4SM to fire again I was given only guidance on the SP time. When we got to the gate for the range it was locked.I called back to my PSG for directions on how to get to the range due to the gate being locked I was simply told to go around. My other battles were able to assist but the directions given were wrong so we ended up just going back to the Company.Everything is last min guidance is hardly ever given when you ask questions it is considered as a challenge to authority, but when you react what what little information you have it’s wrong.I got counseled Friday for not following orders, when I didn’t have the tools to accomplish what I was given to do(first negative counseling).I afraid to speak to my leadership, because I know it will cause me issues, and I don’t want to be viewed as a whiner.

I would give the same advice as SGM Frazer.

I will assume your response to the counseling included the information stated regarding the range mission. If the gate to the range is locked, there is probably nobody there to run the range. Range day for five troops? Better to piggy-back on another unit's range day.
