How similar is 25b to 25d?

I plan on switching my mos to 25b but I hear the cyber security field is more beneficial than information technology. I like being on computers and working with computers. As far as cyber security goes, I personally understand the need for it, but understanding it better would definitely need my own personal research that I don’t think is necessary.

25B is an introductory level MOS, 25D is not. If you don't have the certs for 25D then you don't qualify to apply for it. You could possibly switch to 25B, gain the experience and certs to apply, then switch over. 25D requires at least six years TIS and E5 Promotable at the very minimum

25D is really just an advanced, more skilled 25B. They specialize in network defense.
