How soon will I get paid in basic training?

I ship out on January 27. However, my orders say "start date 2020-02-07". I assume I will be in processing from the 27th to the 7th. Will I get paid the first time on February 15th?

It will take 30-45 days (few cases a little longer) to receive your first pay.

They would have to make the finance imputs by around the 22nd of January to impact 15FEB pay.

As most have mentioned, it would depend on how fast they inprocess you thru finance, there are time lines for the payroll to be processed..

Only thing to add to what everyone else said, is that you will be paid back to the day your orders have you ship out. So your first pay will be larger than your regular pay. so thats good!!!!!!haha

1. Pay begins the day you report to MEPS.
2. Within 3 days of arriving to the Reception Staion, you’ll get an advance payment.
3. Then at the end of the month (02/29/20) if no issues with your paperwork. If not, then next by the end of next month.
4. The US Gobernment pays monthly, but I highly suggest you to opt-in for mid-month pay. Then your pay will be splited; 15th and end of each month.

You'll arrive at your BCT and in process. During this in process time you will get an advance on your pay. Usually like 1 weeks worth. This is your walking around money to buy common things you will need in BCT for a bit. Then once they get your pay squared away you will start receiving it on the 1st and then 15th.
