How does this site work?

Hello fellow vet brothers and sisters I don’t know how I found this place but I’m enjoying it so far I have a few questions what’s the deal with the points ??? Also is there an app I can download I have an I phone and nothing in my Google app ?

Welcome to RallyPoint SPC Michael Brookes.

Points are nothing more than how active you are on RallyPoint - you get some points for posting, some points for upvoting people, points for mentioning people, etc. For some it matters, but for many it's just a number.

There is an app for the Android OS, but the app for the iPhone was removed some time ago.

As a new individual, my best advice is to look over "The RallyPoint Reg" that covers a lot of the HOW and WHAT of using RallyPoint (http://rly.pt/RP3-1v2).

Finally, follow topics and groups that you're interested in. The way the notification system works is largely driven by this.

As an example, if you're a Military History buff, then type "military history" (without the quotes) in the search bar above and one of the results you'll see is a Topic for it. If you click on it it will take you to a topic page and you can 'follow' the topic by clicking on +follow on the right side of the screen. Whenever anyone posts and uses that tag on the post, then you'll get a notification.

Using tags/topic areas is one way to weed through a lot of the stuff out there.
