Hello! I am an engineering supervisor for an organization heavily involved in the nuclear industry. I am interested in developing a program within my company where we are able to partner with veteran organizations so that we can become more involved in hiring talented individuals separating from the military.

Does anyone have any recommendations or tips for getting this process started? I am not looking to partner with military headhunters as I would prefer to work directly with the veteran or their transitioning organization.

Thank you.

Greetings Sir,

For such a partnership, I would say the ‘Private Public Partnership’ (P3O) would be a good organisation to start with.

I can think of a few avenues for you to pursue: the VFW, the American Legion, the Transition Assistance Service at your nearest military installation, and your local VA office. You might also consider classified ads in the Army/Air Force/Navy Times and your local unemployment office.
